It has been a tradition that Ford is running away with the victory in the Swedish branch of the FIA World Rally Championship, Rally Sweden. This year was no exception, as the Finn Jari-Matti Latvala's Ford Fiesta RS WRC was the overall winner of Rally Sweden.
This is the fifth consecutive time that Ford is running in goal as the winning car and it is the second time, Jari-Matti Latvala is at the top of the podium in Rally Sweden. Last Latvala won Rally Sweden was in 2008. Back then drove fin in a Ford Focus RS WRC.
It is still the French Citroen running, Sebastien Loeb, who is on a warm first place in the overall WRC position. He's with 28 points ten points ahead of Dani Sordo and 13 points ahead of Petter Solberg. The next branch in the struggle for world title in Rally, run in Mexico, 8 to 11 in March.
